How the food aid and the proposed project contribute to the improvement of the food security of the participant?
The food commodities provided by UN-WFP can help her to support her family members. Mrs. Hanifa Amiri regularly attends the bag making classes for four hours each day at the training center and learns bag making skill. As she dose not work else where to earn money and support her family, the ration as a food aid which she receive helps her to support and feed her daughters and her family and besides that, to be present in the training center in a peace mind. The proposed project help her to gain knowledge of bag making skill and work as a bag maker at any private business and earn money and support her family and have an improved food security.
Should such assistance continue in future?
Yes, as there is no employment opportunities for illiterate women of our society and there is no any other source of income to access the basic family needs and the assisted food aid is the only source, thus, “I request WFP to continue such assistance in the future.” Requested Mrs. Hanifa “Amiri”.
Any suggestion to improve the project?
Mrs. Hanifa Amiri suggests that the project should last for more than five months in order to well train the beneficiaires and provide them job opportunities. She suggests that the beneficiaires of the project should be trained in all levels, as each skill has three levels. Each of the beneficiaries must be trained in bak making skill so that they could be able to establish their won business of professional bag making. Another suggestion that she had is that each beneficaires should be provided with tools and equipment of bag making skill so that at the end of the project they operate their small businesses by using those tools and equipment. All in all, she thanked UN-WFP office for the such usable, valuable and effective programme and wished all participant and all stackholders a bright future.
